Project Descriptions

The NAIA Expressway (NAIAx)-At Grade Works Project starts at the down ramp project of NAIA Expressway Phase 2, from the NAIA terminals to Entertainment City. The project area is located in the reclaimed area owned by PAGCOR in Parañaque City near Coastal Mall and Mall of Asia.

In 2014, four locators were doing property development there, namely Belle Corporation, Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels, Inc., Travellers International Hotel Group, Inc., and Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment, Inc. The developments of the said locators in the area formed Entertainment City, also known as PAGCOR City today.

The At-Grade Works Project serves as the main road network in the development. With engineering services completed in 2017, the project has two main components: the soil embankment and the road and underground utilities executed by DMCI as a contractor. The embankment is reinforced with Geogrid technology for an approximately two-kilometer stretch. The road alignment crosses the inland channel with a proposed 72-meter long bridge. The project consists of 40 and 50-meter wide roads, as well as a service road of 12 m to access the Meralco substation and the Maynilad pumping station.

Underground utilities were planned along the whole alignment. The underground cabling for electrical power consisted of 115 KV and 34.5 KV lines installed and maintained by Meralco, while the civil works were conducted by DMCI for approximately four km in total length. The water line system was provided by Maynilad Water Services, Inc. and was constructed and installed by DMCI as well. Part of the underground utilities consisted of provisions for the installation of telecommunications, traffic lights, CCTV, and drainage systems.

For this project, DCCD provided construction management services.
