Greenbelt 5

A signature lifestyle mall of Ayala Malls, Greenbelt 5 opened in 2007 with Greenbelt having been established in the 1980s. Located along Paseo de Roxas corner Legaspi Street in Ayala Center, Makati City, the mall offers a diverse mix of retail, dining, service, and leisure establishments. For this project, DCCD was engaged twice—the first time was in 2005, having provided the design for the mall’s mechanical, electrical, sanitary/plumbing, and fire protection systems; with the second time in 2016 for the provision of the mechanical engineering consultancy services for the comprehensive assessment of the existing air-conditioning system. Similar to that of Trinoma’s, the original air-conditioning system, an Ice Thermal Storage System, was changed to a conventional system to cope with actual mall operations.
