Project Descriptions

With engineering services for the project completed in 1997, the Leyte “A” Geothermal Power Plant was funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC). The power plant project was aimed at setting up several geothermal power plants in Tongonan, Leyte with a combined capacity of 650 MW.

Having worked alongside Kingston Morrison Ltd., DCCD provided PNOC with manpower for the engineering design and construction supervision of several geothermal steam distribution lines, as well as power plant and electric cooperatives for the preparation and provision of the detailed engineering design and construction supervision services for the power plant buildings and installation of the generator, transmission lines, and other support facilities.
