The Linao-Cawayan Mini-Hydro Power Plant is located in the northern part of Mindoro Island along the Linao-Cawayan River. With engineering services completed in 2012, the project consists of 2 cascading power plants along the Linao-Cawayan River that provide a total of 5.1 MW of power to the existing grid.
The construction of these mini-hydro power plants augmented the total power requirement of Oriental Mindoro with dependable and reliable power, thereby alleviating total household requirements in the future. DCCD’s involvement consisted of providing consultancy services, covering the detailed engineering design and construction supervision of the project’s civil and electro-mechanical works.
