Project Descriptions

Lufthansa Technik Philippines commissioned DCCD for the construction management services of its various projects. In 2007, DCCD handled the One-Bay Widebody Aircraft Hangar project. The hangar can accommodate one (1) B747-800 or two (2) A-320 aircrafts at a single time. With a length of 98 m, a width of 87 m, and a maximum height of 27.6 m, it was built using a Structural Steel Roof and Wall Frame System. In 2011, it was the Lufthansa A380 Hangar project. The hangar has a footprint of 96 m x 88 m and an internal clearance of 30 m at the tail section, which enables it to accommodate one (1) Airbus A380 aircraft, the world’s largest and most spacious passenger aircraft, in a tail-in parking configuration.

In 2012, it was the Lufthansa Maintenance tail docking system project. The Tail Dock had been designed for servicing a variety of Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. In 2013, it was the rehabilitation and improvement of the existing building, and finally, in 2015, the Bay 2 and Bay 3 hangar extension project. This project included the construction of 2 mezzanines and an electro/mechanical room; combined, they have a total area of 4,519.43 sq.m. The bays’ extension was built to accommodate one (1) A380 Airbus plane and one (1) B777 Boeing aircraft at the same time. The project has a motor driven steel door, a complete fire protection system, a compressed air system, as well as an enhanced electrical system. Engineering services for projects with Lufthansa Technik Philippines were completed in 2016.
