Project Descriptions

A nominal 670 MW power plant composed of two identical 300 MW (net) blocks, the Masinloc Coal Power Plant is located near Masinloc Town, Zambales and will be one of the first in the country to utilize the supercritical boiler technology—resulting in a more efficient approach with a reduced carbon footprint. The expansion project includes a water desalination and demineralization system, an administration building, a warehouse, control buildings, circulating water intakes, piping, offshore intake structures, corresponding intake facilities, as well as a link to the existing discharge channel.

Commissioned by Ventanas Philippines Construction, Inc., DCCD provided a site-specific seismic design review of the equipment support, foundations, tanks, buildings, and other components designed by POSCO E&C and its suppliers. Engineering services will be completed by 2018.
