Project Descriptions

An integral part of the overall water supply rehabilitation program of Phnom Penh, this Cambodian project was funded by the Asian Development Bank. Covering a 15.6-kilometer transmission line within the city, the transmission pipelines range from 900 to 1600 mm dia and are designed to transport about 11 million L of treated water from the existing Phum Prek Chamcar Mom water treatment plants to 4 million city residents. The project involved the design of 41 major interconnections to primary lines. With engineering services completed in 2002, the project aimed to improve Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority’s capabilities until 2015.

Having worked alongside Safege Consulting Engineers of France, the services rendered by DCCD included the preparation of pre-qualification and procurement documents, as well as detailed engineering designs and construction supervision. During its construction, DCCD also took part in providing resident construction supervision support, ensuring timely project completion and strict compliance to the design requirements, assisting also in the overall project management and administration.
