Project Descriptions

A greenfield, stand alone solar farm, San Carlos Solar Farm (SACASOL) is located inside the San Carlos Ecozone in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. With a total gross capacity of 45 MW, the solar farm generates renewable energy to supply daytime peak power to the Visayas grid. Developed in four phases: Phase A (13 MW), Phase B (9 MW), Phase C (13 MW), and Phase D (10 MW), the project aimed to provide supplemental electricity in order to decrease dependence on fossil fuels and imported energy resources, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions in power generation by the use of renewable energy.

For this project, DCCD was contracted by San Julio Realty, Inc. to provide a project manager as well as qualified engineers for the construction supervision of the proposed SACASOL Farm. Engineering services for this project were completed in 2016.
